No project I've undertaken has meant more to me personally than editing, authoring and compiling Battery Charged. It was a desire to understand pitching mechanics in detail that first got WebBall involved in motion-capture technology, and it's my role as a pitching/catching coach that I find truly enjoyable. Of course, over the year, I've realized that pitching is so much more than the physics or kinetics of throwing. And that's what has me thrilled to be offering this to you now - because it covers the full spectrum of conditioning and strategy along with the mechanics. Also it is the first book I know of to combine both positions under one cover - for reasons that become obvious the more you dive into its pages. Enjoy. - Richard Todd, WebBall

Give yourself the ammunition you need for strong outings.

This is a field manual for catchers, too. Not just what they need to know to work behind the plate, but how to take chargs as field captain during the heat of battle...

Some of the most ground-breaking chapters will take you beyond the mechanics, into areas of strategy involving the latest theories on batter deception, with practical tips to help you apply this knowledge when it's game time...

You'll learn both conventional and unconventional approaches to everything from arm action to pitch selection...

And you'll get help with defensive plays, conditioning protocols (shown here), sign systems and everything else you need to master the action that takes place in that 60'6" strip between the mound and home plate.
