I was seeking a defensive strategy for runners on 1st and 3rd, when i noticed it was unavailable on Webball.
Our Little league team is trying to either stop the runner on first from stealing, which is inevitable, or get the runner on third to go and then get the out by having him run into a tag at home.
So, when the runner on first "Is going", the thought was to have the catcher throw to the second baseman or SS, who's is behind the pitcher, and then fire the ball back to the catcher for the tag.
Q: Should we use the Second baseman or SS for this play?

You caught us, Dean. In the Coverage Clinic we don't (yet) include runners at 1 and 3. although we do discuss that as one of the defensive options in the Strategy Clinic (and we have mentioned it in some previous newsletters.)
But enough excuses... The answer is to throw the ball to whichever middle infielder will most likely deceive the runner at 3rd into thinking he is clear for home. Psychologically the throw to 2B is better because from the lead runner's point of view it will look farther away. But SS might be in a better position to break for the infield grass to take a throw closer to home and fire it back to the plate. 2B also has to cross in front of the runner stealing 2nd. Either way - you want the pitcher to duck as if the throw is going right over his head to the bag at 2.
