How do we control direction?

As covered in lesson 2,  a bunt straight back to the pitcher is NOT going to help your team - that's not how to bunt effectively. So let's look at direction — what's required, and how to control it.

Steering for RH Batters

The direction of every bunt is controlled by the angle of the bat as it meets the ball. However, if you try to control direction by putting the barrel to the ball, you could push the bunt too hard and too far.
