Serious weighted ball training - the set recommend by programs like Ron Wolforth's for underload/overload pitcher training. 

Resilient and small, the TAP™ Weighted Balls are sand filled and can be used in close quarters as a tool to develop arm strength, increase arm speed and promote arm health. Weights range from under 4 oz to 2 pounds. All balls are the approximate size of baseballs with the exception of the 2 pound ball which is slightly smaller than a softball. (Note: The <4 ounce sponge rubber under load ball has high rebound and care should be taken if the ball is thrown against solid surfaces.)

WARNING: Serious Training Device, not recommended for players under 14. Before beginning any new conditioning program you should consult your physician, physical therapist, athletic trainer or strength and conditioning coach. If you have musculoskeletal problems it is extremely important to check with an orthopaedist to make sure the program will not aggravate those problems.
