For batters, baserunners and fielders

New In-Motion animated QuickTime version now available for WebBall Team Players. Please sign in or join.

Here's a way to involve the whole team in a bunting drill that shouldn't take long to execute.

RED lines are direction of ball throws or simulated hits.

BLUE and BLACK lines are direction of player movement.

Set-Up

Second base serves as a second home plate and two pitchers are used. (There are no catchers - you want batters to make contact on pitches thrown at B.P. speeds.)

In the original 'Four Corners' drill there was a batter at each base - good in theory but a problem when bunts are missed, fouled off or popped up.

So in this WebBall version, we have only two pitchers and two bunters. (Picture the diamond split in half in a line from third to first.)

WebBall has revised this from the original introduced to us by Coach Don Freeman (who freely admits these drills are often from untraceable sources).
