Baserunner Drill

New In-Motion animated QuickTime version now available for WebBall Team Players. Please sign in or join.

Helps runners learn to be aggressive on hits, and teaches fielders the importance of quick, clean relay throws.

RED lines are direction of ball throws or simulated hits.

BLACK lines are direction of player movement.

Set Up

The outfield is manned. The infield requires position players only at 3rd Base and Short (as a cut-off).

Most of team lines up at first base with helmets on.

A coach or pitcher is on the mound to help the runners get their primary and secondary lead-off. If using a coach the pitches can be simulated; if using a pitcher it's a chance to get in a real bullpen.
