Custom-crafted Tom Cat maple game bats

Imagine stepping up to the plate to swing your own custom lumber... a bat made to your exact specifications... the shape, length, weight, and colors you want - and personalized with your name and player number!

The Tom Cat Bat Company is one of very few wood shops in North America to offer anyone from the youth league and high school player on up, a choice of models and true personalization.

Follow these steps to get your bats, your way...
1. Start by choosing shape

Shape is a combination of barrel size & taper - do you want a bat with a long straight barrel and a quick taper to a thin handle? Do you want a bat with a long straight taper from barrel head to knob? Do you want a wide knob you can jamb the heel of your hand against, or a smaller knob you can wrap your fingers around?

Use the menu below to see and read up on each Tom Cat model to understand the shape, taper, and weight factors. If that leaves you uncertain, call us or send an email and ask for help.

Choose from the model list above to review product details. Once you decide, set your chosen model number(s) in the order form below.
2. Choose length and weight
These are personal preferences. Length-drop = weight, so 33" with -3 drop would weigh 30 oz. However, hard maple is often denser than white ash, so if you choose a long, thick barrel don't expect -3 or -4. (Note: cup choice also affects weight: full cupping takes away perhaps 1/2 oz.)

Note: If you choose the Biaxial option your bat weight will increase by approx. 1 oz but the change does not affect bat balance or swing kinetics.

3. Then personalize it

You can have any color combination you want on your TomCat, from conventional MLB colors, to your team colors, to something that's uniquely you. And we'll imprint your name on it - FREE!

Bats for Fall Ball leagues should be ordered by mid-July. Bats for winter ball by Sept. Orders after these dates may or may not be in your hands when you need them.
