In our view, this may be one of the more stunning conclusion from Perry Husband's research - it explains why even the best pitchers make mistakes. An unexpected hit is not often due to a mechanical mistake in delivery, but more likely a mental error in spotting pitches in the wrong location or the wrong sequence.
