seldom do we get an inside perspective on a pitch from a major league pitching coach. Brent Strom has been a friend of WebBall for many years (contributing articles, providing advice, etc.) byt his real strength is in direct one-on-teaching as he does here with you. This DVD should answer a lot of your questions about curveball grips and delivery. - Richard Todd, WebBall
One of the best curveball pitchers shares his know-how
Brent Strom was known for his outstanding breaking ball and he shares his knowledge on its key components in this new DVD.
For those who don't know the full background, Brent is a former Major League pitching coach for the Houston Astros and Kansas City Royals, and in 2008 became the pitching coordinator for the St.Louis Cardinals after previous stints in that role for the Montreal Expos/Washington Nationals. He is involved with Ron Wolforth at the Texas Baseball Ranch in Montgomery, TX, and is often on the road providing the highest level of baseball instruction at seminars and clinics coast-to-coast.
Setting against the backdrop of the Ranch's main training tent, Brent will walk you through everything from intent to grip to shoulder and arm action - what to do and what not to do. He also reminds us that the mythology of the dangerous curve has more to do with improper instruction than the pitch itself. DVD released 2008, 40 min.

In these scene from the DVD, Brent explains not only proper mechanics but the dangers. Brent has also contributed articles to WebBall, beginning with his 2004 participation in the WebBall Pitching Challenge.
