Changing the nature of pitching instruction

WebBall and Ron Wolforth first became "co-conspirators" in changing the pitching paradigm back in 2002. That's when Ron was given a platform in our first Pitching Challenge. His ideas on pitcher training have been a part of our teaching approach ever since.

Now, with the introduction in 2009 of a new series of articles by Coach Wolforth, we have created this portal to his ideas past and present.

Not everyone agrees with him, but it's hard to argue with success: Ron has had 41 of his students drafted in the last 5 years. This June he has the possibility of seeing a record 8 of his students being chosen in the MLB draft. While velocity is not everything about his program, for the record, 83 of his pitchers have topped 90 mph, 15 of whom have topped the 94 mph barrier.
