PED Reaction...
While I do not claim to have "the" answer to the issues you raise, among the things we can do is advise kids of real-world success stories of players who are doing things right. When you get a minute, go to my blog (http://baseballfit.blogspot.com) and scroll down to the entry for Aug 28. '08. It's the fifth one down, then read upward. FWIW, Hinckley went from off of the National's radar last year to their LH relief specialist this year. I make my guys sign a statement wherein they pledge to not use illegal/banned substances. To do so is grounds for termination of our working relationship. We as strength coaches can do this small thing to help the cause and influence the message youngsters are seeing and hearing. In line with this is my latest blog entry comparing Maddux and and Clemens. Maddux for sure is going to the HOF, and I doubt we'll ever see his name associated with PEDs (Please!) Maddux, without steroids, won one more game than Clemens, the juicer.
