Wake-Up Warm-Up

Though not shown, we recommend catchers run the entire line work sequence with shin guards on.
The line sequence starts easily and builds in intensity. While the first drills seem almost unimportant, they do set a pacing for the progression.

Remember: You can have everyone on the baseline together doing each, or you can run everyone through a follow-the-leader pattern.

Ankle & Foot
Walking pace, minimum leg lift, work each ankle in turn on each stride — back and forth, side to side, in circles, until loose.

Leg & Knee
This first sequence for legs is still at walking pace, bringing the knee up level with hips. Do this forward for the distance, then backwards.
