No project I've undertaken has meant more to me personally than editing, authoring and compiling Battery Charged. It was a desire to understand pitching mechanics in detail that first got WebBall involved in motion-capture technology, and it's my role as a pitching/catching coach that I find truly enjoyable. Of course, over the years, I've realized that pitching is so much more than the physics or kinetics of throwing. And that's what has me thrilled to be offering this to you now - because it covers the full spectrum of conditioning and strategy along with the mechanics. The most surprising aspect of this project was the chance it provided to take a second or third look at the information on WebBall and decide what we could explain - and show - even better. The result is way more than the original game plan of some preprinted website pages. In developing original content for the field manual, we also created a ton of newer illustrations, and revamped many instructional approaches. While these new ideas may show up as part of the Team Player content on the website, this manual is the only way for coaches and players to get all of this info in one convenient package they can take to the field.
