Some day a true 'World Series'?

Originally a sub-section under Coaching, moved in late 2009 to the Community section, this directory was introduced to explore the growing interest in baseball around the world. We think there are insights here that will also benefit those of us coaching and playing in countries where baseball has been long established. After all, sometimes with too much exposure and experience we think that everyone understands the game as well. It's a danger for WebBall, too - and it's good to remind ourselves that everyone starts from a level of ignorance whether as a 5 year old player, or a first-year coach.

Our plan is to see this directory grow with perspectives from other countries and from Americans with experience in teaching baseball on the world stage.

As one contributor to this section, Pete Caliendo, points out...
"Baseball is developing worldwide due to many reasons, technology like the
internet, MLB investing more money in the game worldwide, coaches from Cuba
and the USA working around the world." In his view, "players are hungrier and work harder in other countries and much more. Close to 40% of professional players in the USA are foreign players, this is not by accident."

As a point of reference WebBall.com has visitors from around 60 countries.
