This is an intriguing device whose function isn't that obvious until you see it in action. Due to the force required to load and trigger the spring, adult supervision recommend; 'pitcher' should be someone teenage or older. We have used this with hitters up to 15 by moving in closer (at that age, unless you have a death wish, you'll want the screen). For baseball, recommend distance is 35-40' from plate (in front of mound) and the actual 43-46 mph (hence UPM45) equals reaction time of faster pitches. (This is why we recommend a Portable Screen - two models to chose from.)
For softball, 30-35 feet with 39-42 mph delivery for B.P or slow-pitch arc.
