This is the original kit concept for backyard batting cages and in our view is still the best value. The 3/4" tubing required here is lighter weight and considerably less expensive than the 1-3/8" required by other kits. That makes assembly easier, yet still gives you the structural stability you want. Evey baseball family's backyard needs one; a great asset for schools and youth leagues, too. - Richard Todd, WebBall
Serious batting practice on a budget - nothing else compares.
This is the real deal - a full-size batting cage kit, 10' wide at the top, 14' at the base, and from 40 to 70' long. It can handle balls flying at 120 mph, yet it requires no special ground preparation, no permanent anchors*, and it can be up and taking the hits in under half an hour. Ideal for schools, youth leagues and family backyards.
Each Cage Kit includes the hardware connectors and black netting.
All connectors are made of steel and the angled joints are welded. #21 netting is rated at 200 lb. breaking strength per strand or 800 lb. per mesh.
All parts for the matching L-screen to protect your pitcher or pitching machine are available, a $150 value for only $80 more (plus shipping).

The poles would result in very high shipping costs. Though cheap to buy from your local building products retailer, shipping the 10 foot long poles would be $200 extra or more! What you need to buy is 3/4-inch EMT (electrical metallic tubing, made of galvanized steel, used as wiring conduit - store staff will know what you mean). You can wait until the cage kit arrives or pick them up now. Approximate costs shown are based on Cages Plus research.
* While anchors are not usually required, in high-wind/exposed installations you might want to add tent pegs and rope to your shopping list to tie down the corner poles (not the netting) at ground level. This will keep the cage from drifting in heavy winds.
