Intense feet-to-fingertips conditioning

The objective of this athletic intensity is to make game day the easiest day of the week. It's a progressive program so pitchers just starting on it can do only the first 'innings' of workout and with fewer reps, then progress as they get stronger. What makes this particularly effective is the focus on modifying conventional conditioning exercises to the dynamic, body-torquing movements actually required in pitching.

WebBall coaches have already begun to implement some of the ideas on this new Ron Wolforth DVD. In fact, one of our newest in-motion drills, "Bullpen Rotation", was inspired by this DVD. But don't expect fancy animations or video clips of pitchers in action. This is a no-frills lecture where ideas matter more than "show biz" slickness. This really should revolutionize the way you run your bullpen sessions. - Richard Todd, WebBall

Creative ways to make your side work meaningful

Bullpens are often boring and decidedly NOT game like. This DVD highlights Coach Ron Wolforth's legendary creativity. In a series of whiteboard discussions, Ron details 12 different variations of how to make your side work more meaningful. It's also unique and diversified, helping you keep the work fresh for your pitchers.

Yes, it does seem like an oxymoron - 'tball' and 'advanced' in the same breath. But this may be the most remarkable youth video production we have ever seen. Ron Wolforth is known as a pitching guru for the college crowd, less well known is his dad-hood, and it is with his own son and a friend, that Ron demonstrates what is possible at an early age. Eye-opening. - RT, WebBall

Have fun with a purpose

Toolbox is the right word for this. As Ron himself points out on the video, you wouldn't do all drills in every session - you can pick and choose the ones you want that day to maintain variety in your program. While some drills seem to stray from the typical path of throwing 60'6, each drill has a purpose, you and your team will know the why and as well as the what. Highly recommended. - Richard Todd, WebBall

Make pitchers more efficient & effective

Coaches Ron Wolforth and Flint Wallace have teamed up to put together this 2 DVD set, just released. It includes the latest throwing drills being used at Pitching Central and the Baseball Ranch (typical Ranch session shown here).. That makes this the perfect addition and compliment to your Combat Pitcher Program, but it has enough information to stand alone as well. In fact the 2 DVDs combine the best drills previously found in "The Combat Pitcher" along with brand new drills that have been found to speed up the learning process.

seldom do we get an inside perspective on a pitch from a major league pitching coach. Brent Strom has been a friend of WebBall for many years (contributing articles, providing advice, etc.) byt his real strength is in direct one-on-teaching as he does here with you. This DVD should answer a lot of your questions about curveball grips and delivery. - Richard Todd, WebBall

One of the best curveball pitchers shares his know-how

Brent Strom was known for his outstanding breaking ball and he shares his knowledge on its key components in this new DVD. Brent is a former Major League pitching coach for the Houston Astros and Kansas City Royals, and in 2008 became the pitching coordinator for the St.Louis Cardinals. He is involved with Ron Wolforth at the Texas Baseball Ranch in Montgomery, TX, and often provides baseball instruction at seminars and clinics coast-to-coast.

Something remarkable happened to cause a paradigm shift in teaching methods for pitchers in the past few years.

The shift began in Dec. 2002 at an event in Seattle in which 4 pitching instructors from very different backgrounds confronted each others' ideas for the first time. Their meeting was, in a small way, sparked by the WebBall pitching challenges. Mostly it was driven by a sense that something was missing in what they all knew, or thought they knew, about the mechanics of pitching, and about the teaching of pitching.

Among the outcomes: a new series of training programs that have produced outstanding improvements for pitchers - now documented in a remarkable series of video-based instruction. You will learn how to apply new teaching methods and training programs for your pitching.

The results speak for themselves

FACT: The average new pitcher in Coach Ron Wolforth's Can-Am Sports Academy in Houston, Texas, has been shown to gain 7.4 mph in a few short months. Several of his pitchers have gained 10-20 mph during an 18-24 month program. For comparison, through typical growth spurts and added experience, teen pitchers are projected to gain no more than 3-4 mph per year. Cleary Ron's techniques and program are making a difference.
FACT: In 1995 The Can-Am Sports Academy had no pitchers throwing over 90 mph. Based on 2004 numbers, the Academy had over 30 pitchers - professional, college, and high school - over the 90 mph plateau and has several that have topped 94 mph. By the end of 2006, 45 pitchers throwing in the 90s, topping ever higher, and 31 drafted or in college ball. Just as importantly, with his new training methods, as velocity increased the rate of injury and soreness dropped dramatically - and command improved.
What's made the difference?
Years of work have been put into developing a new paradigm for pitching instruction - with a complete re-thinking on both the intent of training, and the intensity. Ron's  new teaching methodology represents a blending of ideas and philosophies of nearly a dozen pitching coaches including Tom House, Alan Jaeger, Brent Strom, Paul Nyman, and Ron Wolforth and his Academy team. For those who can't attend a bootcamp or take lessons in Houston, WebBall is please to offer one of the most informative series of pitching DVDs ever offered.
