The SwingAway has always been one of the best hitter training aids. The challenges were always availability and affordability. No longer. Now the pricing is better, and the units are moving. The current model lineup offers a SwingAway for every budget and requirement, from backyard youth training to the college and pro levels. I have been working with one of the new models and like the stability of the lower boom, the easy ball-height adjustment, and the versatility of the hitting mat for working on inside and outside pitches. You will, too. - Richard Todd, WebBall Head Coach

Use what the Pros use, at home and the ballpark

SwingAway offers the best hitter training station ever invented, in a range of models and options to suit every budget and situation, from the backyard to the diamond, from youth leagues to the pros.

While there are imitators, no other product comes close to the functionality and versatility of the original. Shown here is Bryce Harper, HS and JUCO phenom, and the #1 draft pick in 2010 - at only 17 years of age. He's been using a SwingAway since age 10.

This has always been one of our top picks for hitter training. The teams we work with always like it when the BatAction is one of the stations set up for practice. The bigger guys try to wrap the power cords right around the post on each hit. Hits that are topped or under-cut create a wobble in the rod as it returns for the next swing, so everyone works at getting good, square-on contact - or they get to work on nasty breaking pitches. - Richard Todd, WebBall

Mini-wiffles are a great hand-eye training tool. WebBall has recommended them for years. But they're hard to pitch with control or accuracy. The Personal Pitcher solves that! It throws mini-wiffles straight and hard. The Pro version adds pitch selection. Our hitters focus better during BP sessions and pre-game. The machine is light enough to take anywhere - home and away games. - Richard Todd, WebBall

Work on fastballs, curveballs and sliders anywhere

The Personal Pitcher delivers Golf-ball size Wiffle™ balls hard and fast to develop hand-eye coordination, improve focus and reaction time. The PP Pro model adds the kind of pitch control you'd expect to find only in pitching machines costing 7 times as much. Original patent, includes 4 hr. rechargeable battery, 4 doz. mini-balls, and an extended 2-yr warranty.

The Handsback Hitter is one training aids we've used a lot. That said, we don't use it exactly per manufacturer's specs. The Pro (the one we use with 13-15 year olds, but okay for 10 and up), has an added benefit - you can switch it around for lefties and righties, so you can use it for working both inside (out front) and outside (deeper contact) pitches. We also set the ground elbow to minimum extension to keep the swing tight, and we work with our hitters to connect with the ball on the pop up, not the down arc. This is to avoid any disconnect in body mechanics midswing (stride and hip turn happen in sync). It has gotten a workout both at practices and during pre-game routines. - Richard Todd, WebBall Head Coach

The most economical live-ball hitting station ever

Features more powerful 'popper' and sturdy metal frame. The ball appears in the hitting zone with you in the ideal compact hitting position: your hands are back, foot down, hips leading to the ball. Adjust ball popping height in seconds and changes from right hand to left in minutes. Sets up for all ages from Little League to College. Now with advanced popper on Pro, Youth and Team models.

A true innovation, the Goodeye helps hitters track and react to the right pitches. We like the light-weight yet sturdy design, and the clever use of Velcro to let you see where each pitch was thrown - because it sticks to the target. For years WebBall has been talking about plate discipline, about having a personal hitting zone that starts small and expands as you get deeper into the count. This is the first time we've seen a training aid that teaches that principle - making it visual and memorable. Great concept and well put together. Highly recommended. - Webball

Learn to go after the right pitches on every count

Do you know your hot zone? Do you know which pitches to go after with no strikes, 1 strike, or 2 strikes against you? The GoodEye Pitch Tracker is the first product designed to help batters track pitches and always go after the right ones - on any count. Engineered from tough PVC with Velcro-brand targets, the GoodEye improves batter discipline and encourages good swing habits. Plus it's adjustable for all ages and skill levels.

Unique approach to solo soft-toss training

The Tru-Toss Bounce Feeder is the most versatile, non-electric soft toss unit available. We are stronger believers in soft toss as an important part of hitter training. It helps the batter find his swing path, with the demands of quick reaction/adjustment time. The Tru-Toss bounces the balls up which adds to the challenge. Toss height and angle are adjustable - it can be used for side toss, front toss and even back toss drills. And it works with any balls. The batter taps the feed unit which then delivers the ball in about 4-5 seconds.

The pre-production model was introduced at The Super Show in Las Vegas, Jan. 03, and was immediately a candidate for product of the year. Though extensively tested, including performance evaluation and calibration analysis with a state-of-the-art mechanized golf club swing system, WebBall held off on our own recommendation until we could evaluate a standard production model. We now have - testing it for both baseball and golf - and the Swing Speed Radar lives up to the advanced billing. Easy to set up, easy to use. It has proven popular with baseball coaches, especially those into golf. - Richard Todd, WebBall

It's not how hard you swing...but how well you swing!

The Swing Speed Radar® is a small, inexpensive tool that will improve your swing mechanics by providing accurate feedback on the bat speed as you make adjustments to your mechanics. This microwave Doppler radar velocity sensor is easy to set up for baseball or softball. You can hook it on a chainlink fence (about 4-5' behind you) as you hit off a tee. Or position it directly in front of you on a tripod as you practice dry swings. It works just as well for golf when positioned behind or at an angle to your clubhead contact point.

Instability creates a stronger core

Proprioception is the term used to describe the feedback that tells an athlete if his movements are in balance. Amplifying the feedback challenges the stability mechanisms and hones performance.

Discs and beams provide balance training for all players, especially pitchers.

Thanks to a special arrangement with our supplier, WebBall is able to offer a unique range of choices in colored polyballs for training.

Challenge the eyes, brain and body

Visual training is a critical aspect of hitting skills development. Multi-colored balls allow you to run drills which challenge the eyes, brain, & body to react quickly. Reduced reaction times can speed up the bat for better contact, more power. Soft tossing two balls at the same time and calling out which one to hit is a great technique for reaction training.
