Entertainment value - only?
Before you get too excited about the 'instructional value' of this page, we look at this page mostly for its entertainment value. However, there are times when the safety aspect of such "plays of the day" could make a difference to your team. Remember though, while plays like these make for good sports highlights, in truth they are often the result of poor field positioning. If the fielder has a better read on the batter, many flyballs could become routine. SLIDING CATCHES
