What it takes to play Infield
Not everyone has what it takes to be an infielder. Both here and under 'Scouting > Player Evaluations' you'll find pages on the skills - and attributes - important for an effective infielder.
Below we divide our Infield instruction into essential skills you need to practice all the time, with links to all the team drills your coach might get you to run through. Plus on each position-specific section look for additional insights and recommendations.  Essential SkillsMany of the pages in the Infield section include what we call motion-enhanced content. These animations of players in action are based on motion-capture data from one of the facilities which also provides this for video games - it's recorded from the real movements of real players in real time.
Group DrillsAll drills help. Put extra effort into those more demanding on infielders when the coach runs them during practice. The drop down list here includes all team drills because you may be called on at any time to fill another position.
