A question based on correspondence from a WebBall site visitor.
It wasn't a huge sampling, and it does seem weighted to the U.S. What WebBall found most ihteresting in the results was the variety of experience. Also, generally, it seems most coaches and players are faced with short pre-seasons and few early practices but these are sometimes coupled with long seasons with lots of practices each week.
Our experience is that more prep time is needed, and less intensity as the season moves forward (until you're ready to prepare for play-offs or the all-star season.) The numbers are also skewed by the few lucky players and/or coaches who have extended seasons thanks to climare or private facilities.
Interestingly not a single voter thought their season was 'too long' - why shouldn't this surprise us. (In addition to the averages, we've added the range to show where the greatest variety is.)
