Teach the youngest players defense
This is an interesting piece of home-grown software, born from a parent/coach's need to teach defense to very young ballplayers (ages 6-9).
The concept is simple - make it an interactive software game that kids can run by themselves.
As instructional CDs go, this is anything but elaborate - primitive graphics, easy to understand ideas - and keeping it that simple is why it works that's the point!
Inning by inning "Where's the Play?" uses positive reinforcement and structured learning techniques to show the fundamentals of field position, force outs, base coverage, relays and cut-offs. "Where’s The Play?" focuses on defense and strategy, helping players avoid common mental mistakes.
It's not a lecture. It teaches by interacting with the player. See plays unfold, learn how to react, and with constant interactive feedback, correct mistakes discovering baseball and softball principles for themselves.
